National Data Breach Class Action & Qui Tam Associate

Location: Sacramento, CA

Responsibilities:

  • Work experience with complex consumer litigation; experience with False Claims Act litigation a plus, but not required
  • Related legal experience in the private or public sector
  • Exceptional communication skills with clients, teams, and team leaders to develop Data Breach class action and Qui Tam lawsuits
  • Exceptional research and writing skills
  • Draft pleadings, complaints, discovery, motions, and other court filings with various State and Federal Courts; conduct research on a variety of novel legal issues in State and Federal cases; present and argue motions
  • Manage mediation and court approval process for class action cases, including drafting class action preliminary approval motions, and drafting and arguing final approval and fees motions
  • Manage the filing of pleadings, tracking service of process, and assuring SOL deadlines are met
  • Self-starter with all phases of litigation, including interpretation of laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • Must have 2 – 5 years of experience in complex consumer or False Claims Act litigation, or general litigation
  • Must be a team player: willing to work collaboratively with all staff members
  • Caring and compassionate attitude with clients that is consistent with the firm’s core values
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Growth mindset and eagerness to become an invaluable member of the Arnold Law Firm team–we want to train if you want to learn
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft suite and demonstrated comfort with technology, including case management software
  • Ability to analyze and calculate damages stemming from Data Breach class action and Qui Tam violations and penalties for individuals and classes
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills – must be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a busy (and supportive) environment
  • High attention to detail and superior organizational skills
  • Desire to market and grow your own source of case referrals
  • Licensed and in good standing in any state
