On May 20, 2025, Community Counseling of Bristol County, Inc. (“CCBC”) reported a significant cybersecurity incident to the Maine Attorney General’s Office. The incident, which occurred between May 18 and May 20, 2024, involved unauthorized access to CCBC’s network systems (the “Data Breach”). Upon discovering the Data Breach on May 20, 2024, CCBC engaged third-party cybersecurity specialists to investigate. The investigation concluded on April 25, 2025, and determined that sensitive personal and health information had been compromised. Approximately 45,960 individuals were impacted. Recently, CCBC has begun notifying affected individuals and is offering complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through Experian IdentityWorks Credit 3B. If you received a data breach notification letter from CCBC, it indicates that your information was affected by the Data Breach.
