On March 15, 2020, an unauthorized party gained access to the email account of an employee of surgical robot developer Auris Health, Inc. (Auris). The company has not disclosed when the security incident was first discovered or how long the malevolent actor had access to the account.

The company is offering two years of credit and identity monitoring services to affected individuals. They have established a toll-free phone number with Equifax: 1-800-605-5729. Concerned parties can also email Auris at [email protected].
Founded in 2007, Auris develops advanced endoscopic surgical tools used for lung cancer diagnosing and targeting with minimal intrusion. Based in Redwood City, California, the company has an estimated 400 employees.
