O.K. Foods, Inc. Announces Email Security Breach

On April 15, 2021, O.K. Foods, Inc. (“O.K. Foods” or “OK Foods”) began to send notices to state Attorneys General reporting that an unauthorized person obtained access to an O.K. Foods employee’s email account containing employees’ sensitive information. This data breach occurred almost a year earlier, from April 22, 2020 to April 30, 2020.
O.K. Foods states that they secured the email account and conducted a prompt investigation with external cybersecurity professionals. After their investigation, O.K. Foods was able to confirm that the breached email accounts included the protected information of 34,654 individuals.
