Liya Lozko was born and raised in Temirtau, a town in Kazakhstan. In 2003, she moved to the United States with her family. After high school, Ms. Lozko went on to attend California State University, Sacramento, obtaining degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology.
Her interest in the criminal justice system spurred Ms. Lozko on to continue her education at Lincoln Law School, where she obtained her Juris Doctorate in 2016. While attending law school, Ms. Lozko worked at the Sacramento County District Attorney’s office as a legal intern for four years.
From childhood, Ms. Lozko has worked diligently and has strived for the best, setting high goals and achieving them. She has long recognized that the United States is full of opportunities. Not only does she appreciate the opportunities that have come her way, she actively pursues solutions and possibilities in all aspects of life.
In June 2016, Ms. Lozko stopped by the Arnold Law Firm with her resume. The same day, she was interviewed and hired on a temporary basis.
Due to her impressive dedication and ingenuity, Ms. Lozko soon became a permanent employee and now works with attorney Thomas D. Nielsen. She finds her work to be both challenging and rewarding.
In addition to English, Ms. Lozko is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian. She also speaks conversational Spanish and is learning Portuguese and French. Her goal is to be fluent in at least five different languages.
When not at work, Ms. Lozko likes to spend time with her family and dog. Ms. Lozko also enjoys traveling, being outdoors, hiking, skiing, skydiving, scuba diving, and reading. Fittingly, Ms. Lozko is delighted to celebrate her birthday with the entire country with fireworks on the Fourth of July each year.
