Tracy Owensby
Tracy Owensby is a northern California native, having been born and raised in Fairfield, Solano County. He attended and graduated in 1984 from CSU Sacramento with a degree in Criminal Justice (with high honors) and received his law degree from UC Davis School of Law in 1987, where he was a member of the UCD Law Review. After passing the state bar exam in 1987, Mr. Owensby began working for a Sacramento defense firm as a trial attorney and later became a partner in his own firm in Sacramento. While a partner in his firm, Mr. Owensby tried cases in many northern California counties for Farmers, State Farm, Allstate, California Casualty, Preferred Risk, school districts and a fire district. In 1998 Mr. Owensby decided to leave private practice to head the northern California litigation department for California Casualty, where he stayed for 13 years before coming to the Law Offices of Clayeo Arnold. He has tried approximately 35 cases to verdict in 13 different counties over the past 24 years and also currently serves as a judge pro tem for Sacramento County, Yolo County, and El Dorado County as well as a mediator and arbitrator.
Mr. Owensby resides in Elk Grove with his wife, Teresa, and his three teenage children. When not working, Mr. Owensby enjoys attending all of his children’s sports and school activities, golfing, hiking and traveling.
