Sue Artenstein was born in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, and raised on an 80-acre cattle and horse ranch. She learned at an early age the meaning of hard work and work ethics.

In 1972, her family moved to Beckley, West Virginia, where she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. During that time, she worked for the Raleigh Register and Beckley Post Herald newspaper company, traveling more than 300 miles a day to deliver newspapers to more than 500 customers.

In 1985, Ms. Artenstein relocated in Sacramento, California, to be closer to her immediate family. She attended night school at CareerCom College of Business and graduated from the school’s legal secretary program.

Shortly after graduating, Ms. Artenstein interviewed for a receptionist’s position with the Arnold Law Firm and was hired on the spot. In 1991, Ms. Artenstein became legal assistant to Clayeo Arnold, the founder of the firm, and in 1995, she became the firm’s office administrator.

In 2002, Ms. Artenstein was instrumental in crafting a strategic plan for the firm’s growth in size and revenue.  She also helped foster new and inventive ideas in staff and attorney education, performance coaching, community service and marketing tactics. Ms. Artenstein is a strong believer in “firm ownership” by all employees.  She also promotes the best client service that can be offered.

Away from work, Ms. Artenstein enjoys reading, painting, Karaoke and spending time with her dogs.  She has a son who is grown and married.
