Lance J. Curtis brings more than a decade of experience defending insurance companies to his job as a trial attorney with the Arnold Law Firm. That experience gives him a unique perspective in preparing cases for plaintiffs and looking at the strengths and weaknesses of cases. “I know what gaps to fill and I know where they are going to attack a case or attack a plaintiff,” he explains. “This gives me opportunity to anticipate the defenses that are going to be raised and prepare the case appropriately.”

Born in Hemet in 1970, Mr. Curtis attended Sonoma State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a creative writing emphasis in 1992.  He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1998 after earning his Juris Doctorate from the Lincoln Law School of Sacramento.

Mr. Curtis’ 13 years of defending insurance companies left him dissatisfied. He wanted to help people and actually observe the reward on the other side and “see that the hard work that I put in actually made a difference or changed somebody’s life.”  And that desire brought him to the Arnold Law Firm.

“The Arnold Law Firm has a reputation for trying cases and doesn’t settle without exhausting all possibilities to get clients fully compensated,” Mr. Curtis said.

Mr. Curtis is a member of the State Bar of California, Consumer Attorneys of California and Capital City Trial Lawyers Association, and is admitted to practice in the state courts of California and the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California.

Away from work, Mr. Curtis enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.  A former Sonoma State football player and onetime athletic director at his former high school, Mr. Curtis today coaches youth softball and basketball teams. He enjoys the outdoors and playing golf with his daughters. Mr. Curtis is president of the non-profit group “Friends of Wilton Youth,” which he co-founded in 2009 to offer financial assistance to community youth. Mr. Curtis resides in Elk Grove.
