Recalled GM Vehicles
GM issued several recalls in February and March 2014. These affected a total of 3.1 million vehicles due to a number of defects that the company may have been aware of for over 10 years.
Faulty ignition switches were found in the following 1.6 million vehicles:
- 2003-07 Saturn Ion
- 2005-07 Chevrolet Cobalt
- 2006-07 Chevrolet HHR
- 2006-07 Pontiac Solstice
- 2007 Pontiac G5
- 2007 Saturn Sky
In another 1.5 million vehicles, defective parts including brakes, air bags, and seat belts were found:
- 2008-13 Buick Enclave
- 2008-13 GMC Acadia models
- 2008-10 Saturn Outlook
- 2009-13 Chevrolet Traverse
- 2009-14 Chevrolet Express
- 2009-14 GMC Savana
- 2013-14 Cadillac XTS
Should I File a Claim?
Anyone who drove one of the affected models may have been at risk of serious injury or death because they were not aware a problem existed. If you were one of the people that purchased or drove one of these defective vehicles, you could file a claim. Our firm will seek the justice and compensation you deserve.
A law exists that requires car makers to disclose any vehicle issues to the government. GM may have violated this law. Documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show that GM was aware of these problems in 2001. A federal investigation of GM is currently under way. This could mean GM is liable for your pain and suffering if you were impacted by their faulty vehicles.
